This Venezuelan-Puerto Rican journalist has lived in Central Florida since 1982 and considers this area home.

She is fascinated by politics. So much so, that she’s earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Politics from the University of Central Florida. She puts that knowledge to good use in her job at News 13.

She calls herself an “endless prisoner of hope” and demonstrates that by her many community activities. She spends much of her free time as a volunteer for organizations like the Shepherd’s Hope Clinic, as a mentor for the Compact Program for Orange County Public Schools, Member of the Association of Hispanic Professional Women of Central Florida, Member of the UCF Alumni Association, and Central Florida Chapter Board Member for Lighthouse of Central Florida.

Currently, Ybeth is serving as President for the Central Florida chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).

Ybeth treasures special time with her family and her “very tall” (he’s 6’7”) husband.
