Ken Molestina is the Region 3 Director. He’s currently a general news reporter at WUSA-TV in Washington D.C.
Ken was born in New York, and raised in Miami. Prior to WUSA, Ken was an anchor/reporter at KVIA-TV in El Paso, Texas. There he focused on crime and public safety reporting. He’s won an Emmy Award for his work on exposing underground sewer tunnels in El Paso which were being used by illegal immigrants and human smugglers as routes to break into the U.S.
He says one of the most impactful stories he ever covered was the execution of a Texas death row inmate. Ken gave him his last public interview the day before he was executed and was a witness to the execution the following afternoon.
Aside from being a journalist, Ken spent nearly 3 years working as a volunteer firefighter for the West Valley Fire Department in El Paso County, Texas.
Prior to his work in El Paso he worked at WUFT-TV and WRUF-AM radio in Gainesville, Florida. He is a proud graduate of the University of Florida and, as you would imagine, is a die hard Gator Fan.
