NAHJ is happy to announce a new opportunity for students to be able to attend the NAHJ 2023
International Training Convention & Expo! The ESPN/Pedro Gomez Foundation Collegiate Student
Travel Assistance Program will provide full convention packages to four students.
The package includes:
- Registration for the NAHJ 2023 International Training Convention & Expo
- Travel to Miami
- Single hotel room for four nights (checking in July 12, departing July 16, 2023)
- Meals
Student Eligibility Requirements:
- Open to NAHJ student members and student non-members (If not a member, NAHJ will pay for
- their membership)
- Enrolled full-time at a U.S. college or university
- Majoring in journalism or communications
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US without holding a VISA or sponsorship
Application Requirements:
- Resume
- Unofficial school transcript
- Essay – (150 – 200 words) Explain why you’re interested in attending the NAHJ International
Training Convention & Expo and why it will be of value to you. If you’re planning to become a sports journalist, include how attending will help you reach your goal. You do not have to be interested in sports journalism to apply.
