NAHJ will head to Chicago for 2025 conference, after celebrating 40th anniversary in Hollywood in 2024

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is pleased to share that the organization will hold its 2025 national conference in Chicago, the NAHJ board of directors announced today.

The 2025 NAHJ Conference and Expo will be held July 6-15, 2025, at the Hilton Chicago. The organization is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year in Hollywood, Calif, where NAHJ was founded in 1984.

“We’re really excited to follow our 2024 anniversary celebration in California by bringing the NAHJ conference to the Midwest in 2025,” said NAHJ Executive Director Yaneth Guillen-Diaz. “Chicago has some of the most vibrant Hispanic neighborhoods in the country, and it’s a central location for our members from across the U.S.”

#NAHJ40th will be held July 9-13, 2024 at the iconic Loews Hotel in Hollywood, CA. NAHJ was founded two years after the California Chicano News Media Association convened 300 Hispanic journalists in San Diego, Calif. in 1982 and discussed the creation of a national body. NAHJ now has more than 3,600 members; more than 1,500 attended its sold-out 2023 conference in Miami.
