The National Association of Hispanic Journalists wrote a letter to Univision. We expressed our disappointment and concern over the February 25th broadcast of “Baño de Sangre,” a segment on the deadly shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Fla., that aired on Univision’s “Crónicas de Sábado.”
As part of NAHJ’s mission, our goals are “to promote accurate and fair treatment of Hispanics by the news media” and “to foster greater understanding of the unique cultural identity, interests and concerns of Hispanic Journalists.” With this in mind, we wrote a letter to Univision detailing our concerns with the broadcast. Univision responded. We are now posting both letters. At this time, NAHJ has no further comment.
