Overview
This scholarship is limited to students applying to our in-person concentrations. American Journalism Online applicants are not eligible for this scholarship.
The NYU-NAHJ scholarship was created to support current and future student members of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. This scholarship is open to all U.S. citizens or permanent residents, regardless of identity or background so long as the candidate shares the core mission of our partner organizations. This scholarship is funded by the Arthur L Carter Journalism Institute.
The goal of the NYU-NAHJ scholarship is to support the mission of NAHJ: NAHJ’s mission
Eligibility: The Journalism Institute offers competitive full-tuition plus stipend scholarship to a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) admitted to one of ten NYU Journalism master’s programs for fall 2024. Proof of membership in NAHJ must be submitted at the time of accepting the fellowship award. If not a current member, applicants must join NAHJ upon receiving the offer. Please note that membership in NAHJ is open to individuals of all racial backgrounds, and this scholarship is as well.
How to Apply: Interested candidates need to submit a scholarship essay application. The application can be found on the GSAS application. The deadline to apply for these scholarships is January 4, 2024.
