NAHJ Region 4 Director Paula Machado
Paula Machado is a Puerto Rican-Cuban bilingual journalist and graduate from the University of Central Florida.
You can find Machado reporting on the latest news & entertainment on InfoMás–the only 24 hour Spanish news channel in Central Florida. She’s also the host and producer of a magazine-style show called Revista, that covers everything from local politics to cultural events in the area.
Most recently, Machado was one of the first Spanish-speaking reporters on scene, covering the Pulse tragedy in Orlando for InfoMás, CNN en español and the BBC.
Previously, Machado drew from her news background to coordinate and manage global media coverage efforts for Walt Disney World.
Machado kick-started her career at Univision Orlando, becoming the station’s first social media journalist and subbing as producer and on-camera reporter. In the past, she also interned with the CBS affiliate in Orlando and NY1 Noticias in New York City.
Some of Machado’s hobbies include traveling the world, CrossFit and producing videos for her lifestyle blog.
