Adelante Leadership Academy
The NAHJ Adelante Leadership Academy embodies our commitment to bolstering Latino talent in the journalism industry. Our goal: To cultivate skills, forge networks, and pave pathways to leadership positions. The Academy sets the stage for an expansive future, developing specific programs to serve the diverse communities within NAHJ.

Trainings and Workshops
NAHJ is committed to offering training & resources to our members, providing them the tools and skills to grow in their careers. NAHJ creates virtual and in-person training sessions, panels and network opportunities exclusively designed to benefit members nationwide and internationally.
Ñ Awards
The Ñ Awards honor outstanding contributions and achievements in journalism, celebrating diverse voices that shape our media landscape. These prestigious awards recognize excellence across print, broadcast, digital, and multimedia journalism, showcasing the importance of diversity and inclusivity in media.

Every year, NAHJ proudly recognizes individuals who have courageously upheld our mission to expand the number of Latinos in newsrooms and improve coverage of Latino communities. These individuals demonstrate a commitment to our profession, paving the way for other Latino journalists.
Excelencia Awards
NAHJ’s Excelencia Awards honor outstanding contributions made by individuals, corporations, and organizations to support the advancement of Hispanic students, professionals, and educators in journalism. Winners of the awards are honored during the Excelencia Awards and NextGen Benefit, a gala event to strengthen community connections and raise money for the next generation of Hispanic journalists.
