NAHJ Hall of Fame Gala Returns with Elevated Experience for 2017 Celebration

(Washington, D.C., August 21, 2017) â€” NAHJ will move the association’s annual gala presented by Toyota, off-premise to the Anaheim House of Blues on Saturday, Sept. 9. In addition to an all-inclusive dinner ticket, the event producer’s have opened sales for a tier of tickets available to those solely wanting to view the Hall of Fame ceremony from the venue’s mezzanine.

WHO:

  • Featuring: Neida Sandoval, Celebrity Ambassador of national Juntos Somos Imparables campaign
  • Honorees: 2017 Hall of Fame Class and Presidential Award Recipient
  • “In Memoriam” Tribute: Anthony Marquez, Guillermo Benites, Cecilia Alvear, Tino Duran
  • Honorary co-chairs: Victoria Sanchez De Alba, Noemi Lujan Perez

WHAT: The 2017 Hall of Fame Gala honoring five of the nation’s top journalists, academics and documentarians. Additionally, Brandon Benavides will award Senior White House Correspondent Jim Acosta with this year’s Presidential Award. Bringing together past and current board members, NAHJ membership, sponsors and partners, the formal dinner event is a part of the Excellence in Journalism Conference 2017. The entire production will also be live streamed for those to enjoy that are unable to attend the Anaheim convention. With the support of NAHJ partner Banjo, on-site attendees and online participants will be able to access the live curated social experience.
