July 11, 2025 – The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) is proud to announce a new partnership with Florida International University’s Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media to offer intensive online workshops that strengthen investigative reporting skills in both English and Spanish.
Launching this fall, the NAHJ + FIU Lee Caplin School Certificate Program will equip journalists with cutting-edge technical tools and advanced storytelling techniques to produce impactful investigations on issues that matter most to their communities.
“These workshops are an incredible opportunity for our members to strengthen their investigative skills in both English and Spanish,” said Yaneth Guillén-Díaz, NAHJ Executive Director. “From AI-driven reporting to powerful data visualization, this program reflects our commitment to supporting bilingual journalists with the most relevant tools in the field.”

Program overview:
- Format: Four online workshops, each with 6 hours of live instruction plus 4–6 hours of independent assignments
- Topics: AI Tools for Investigative Reporting (bilingual); Data Visualization and Storytelling (separate English and Spanish sessions)
- Dates: September 29 – October 6, 2025, and October 27 – November 3, 2025
- Capacity: 25 participants per workshop
- Cost: $20 for members, $40 for non-members (includes NAHJ membership)
- Certificate: Awarded upon completion by FIU’s Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media

11 de julio de 2025 – La Asociación Nacional de Periodistas Hispanos (NAHJ, por sus siglas en inglés) se enorgullece en anunciar una nueva asociación con la Escuela de Periodismo y Medios Lee Caplin de la Universidad Internacional de Florida (FIU) para ofrecer talleres en línea intensivos que fortalezcan las habilidades de periodismo investigativo en inglés y español.
A partir de este otoño, el Programa de Certificación NAHJ + FIU Lee Caplin School equipará a los periodistas con herramientas técnicas de vanguardia y técnicas avanzadas de narración para producir investigaciones impactantes sobre los temas que más importan a sus comunidades.
“Estos talleres son una oportunidad increíble para que nuestros miembros fortalezcan sus habilidades investigativas en inglés y español,” dijo Yaneth Guillén-Díaz, Directora Ejecutiva de NAHJ. “Desde la reportería impulsada por inteligencia artificial hasta la visualización de datos, este programa refleja nuestro compromiso de apoyar a los periodistas bilingües con las herramientas más relevantes en el campo.”
