2021 NAHJ/Getty Images Inclusion Scholarship

NAHJ and Getty Images are pleased to offer a $10,000 award to a university student focused on photojournalism. The Getty Images Inclusion Scholarship reinforces our organizations’ commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the editorial photography industry and journalism more broadly.

The Getty Images Inclusion Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students attending accredited colleges and universities in the United States with at least one year of school remaining, beginning in the fall of 2021. The recipient will receive a one-year student membership to NAHJ and also registration for the NAHJ International Training Conference & Career Fair, held virtually from July 12 – 17, 2021, with pre-conference training beginning June 16. The scholarship funds can be used for tuition or camera equipment during the 2021 – 2022 school year.

Candidates will be judged on the strength of their photographic portfolios, academic performance and a demonstrated commitment to the field of visual journalism. The deadline to apply is May 31, 2021. Please review the following application requirements and the more detailed terms and conditions below.

What scholarship applicants should submit:
