September 29, 2025 – The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is now accepting applications for the NAHJ Adelante Academy’s 2026 Leadership Program. Are you a newsroom leader ready to move up to the next level? NAHJ’s senior leadership program is back for its third year, open to NAHJ members who are ready to become the next generation of news executives.
Who should apply
Newsrooms don’t just need reporters who reflect the communities they serve — they need leaders who understand the value and power of covering diverse communities fully and accurately. That’s where you come in.
Perhaps you’re a director or manager who wants to hone your executive skills, or a mid-level journalist who regularly takes on leadership roles and now wants the title to match the responsibility. If you have eight or more years of leadership experience, this program may be for you.
Why the 2026 Leadership Program
Participants in previous programs called the experience transformative. The 2026 Leadership Program will help you:
- Develop your CEO mindset
- Expand and strengthen your professional network
- Gain visibility and position yourself for senior leadership roles
