Overview
These scholarships are available exclusively to students applying for our in-person concentrations and those intending to enroll as full-time students. This scholarship is not open to applicants to our American Journalism Online or part-time enrollment.
The goal of the NYU-NAHJ scholarship is to support NAHJ’s mission. This scholarship is open to all U.S. citizens or permanent residents, regardless of identity or background so long as the candidate shares the core mission of our partner organizations. NYU-NAHJ scholarship awardees must join NAHJ upon receiving the scholarship offer.Â
The Journalism Institute offers competitive full-tuition plus stipend to members of the National Hispanic Journalists Associations admitted to one of the in-person NYU Journalism graduate programs in the fall of 2026. This scholarship is funded by the Arthur L Carter Journalism Institute.Â
Eligibility: The scholarship is available to a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) admitted to one of NYU Journalism master’s programs in-person cohorts for fall 2026. Proof of membership in the National Association of Hispanic Journalists must be submitted at the time of accepting the fellowship award. Applicants must join NAHJ upon receiving the offer.Â
