Diego Luna, Star and Executive Producer of Lucasfilm’s “ANDOR”, to join 2022 NAHJ Hall of Fame Gala Celebration
(Washington, D.C.) – The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) is thrilled to welcome Diego Luna, Star and Executive Producer of Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ series “ANDOR”, as a special guest for the 2022 NAHJ Hall of Fame Gala on August 6 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Caesars Palace. The awards ceremony will be hosted by CBS Weekend News Anchor, Adriana Diaz.
Before delivering remarks at the gala to honor the inductees and award winners, Luna will conduct interviews on the red carpet during the pre-gala reception.
In “ANDOR”, Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough and Kyle Soller. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is also the creator and showrunner.
The career of Luna in film and television exceeds that of an actor. As a producer and director, Luna directed César Chávez, which was distributed by Pantelion Films, the current leader in bringing Mexican films to the United States. Luna is also a co-founder of Ambulante, an organization that strives to bring documentaries to areas of Mexico where there is not enough distribution of said films. Luna’s career exemplifies NAHJ’s commitment to fair and accurate representation of the Latino community, and NAHJ is delighted to have him as part of our most prestigious event of the year.
